To Place a Parametric Instrument

  1. Select the Instrument Parametrics option from the Instruments gallery. The Properties dialog displays.
  2. Define the Tag Number for the instrument, or accept the default number.
  3. In the Properties section, define the property values for the agitator.
  4. Press OK. The Place Parametric Instrument dialog displays.
  5. Use the dialog to define the physical properties of the instrument. As you define properties in the dialog, a ghosted image of the instrument is on the cursor and will dynamically change as you scroll through the options.
  6. Pick a point in the drawing for the instrument. The instrument is placed in the drawing.
  7. Connect the leader line to the desired component or right-click to cancel the leader line option and end the command. The tag number is placed inside the instrument bubble.
    Note: The Leader Line option can also be turned off in the Properties section of the Properties dialog before placing the instrument.
  8. Right-click to end the command.
